Banned Books Week Is September 27th - October 4th

It is a sad commentary that in 2008 we still have to grapple with the ugly matter of censorship of books. To raise awareness of this issue the last week of September has been dubbed "Banned Books Week." Currently hundreds of libraries and bookstores around the country are drawing attention to the problem of censorship by mounting displays of banned books and hosting a variety of events.
